We named our company after the largest organism on earth—a giant grove of Aspen trees in Utah’s Fishlake National Forest. At first glance, this grove might look like a bunch of individual trees. Dig underneath, though, and you’ll find a network of connected roots that spans 106 acres and supports more than 47,000 stems. In this aspen grove, the strength of one root depends on the strength of every other root in the system.
